Landon's Turchili
Ingredients:
1 whole yellow squash or frozen bag of squash
Jenny'o ground turkey
Chili beans 1 can
Kidney beans 1 can
Onion flakes 1 teaspoon
Pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Organic vegetable broth 1 cup
Prego original heart smart pasta sauce 1 cup
I made this meal this morning for Landon and I. Since he has MSPI (milk, soy protein intolerance) I have had to get creative with the meals I make for him so it's not the same thing over and over again. I also try to eat the same meals as he does without dairy or soy.
I do this because its easier on me to make just one meal and it wont make him feel different if he doesn't end up growing out if it. I hope that makes sense.
If he has to go through it then why not join him and make it a positive and fun experience right?!
Well anyways, All you have to do to create this easy meal is:
Brown your turkey meat, and literally add all of your ingredients at once stir and let simmer. I would add chili pepper, cumin and some extra spice to this if it weren't for Landon, just some ideas for you :) I started my skillet at 400 degrees and then brought it down to a simmer once it all started to bubble. It has been simmering now for about 2 hours, I plan on letting it go until lunch so for a total of 4 hours. Enjoy!
