Landon's Turchili

Ingredients:
1 whole yellow squash or frozen bag of squash
Jenny'o ground turkey
Chili beans 1 can
Kidney beans 1 can
Onion flakes 1 teaspoon
Pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Organic vegetable broth 1 cup
Prego original heart smart pasta sauce 1 cup

I made this meal this morning for Landon and I. Since he has MSPI (milk, soy protein intolerance) I have had to get creative with the meals I make for him so it's not the same thing over and over again. I also try to eat the same meals as he does without dairy or soy.

I do this because its easier on me to make just one meal and it wont make him feel different if he doesn't end up growing out if it. I hope that makes sense.
If he has to go through it then why not join him and make it a positive and fun experience right?!

Well anyways, All you have to do to create this easy meal is:

Brown your turkey meat, and literally add all of your ingredients at once stir and let simmer. I would add chili pepper, cumin and some extra spice to this if it weren't for Landon, just some ideas for you :) I started my skillet at 400 degrees and then brought it down to a simmer once it all started to bubble. It has been simmering now for about 2 hours, I plan on letting it go until lunch so for a total of 4 hours. Enjoy!

Chalkboard Window

I really wanted to be one of those pinner's that actually did the pins they dreamed of doing. So with that said here is my new blog of things I have created from my own ideas and from pinterest.

First documented project: Window Chalkboard

What you will need
Old window any size
Rustoleum chalkboard paint
3-4 inch cut in tape
tools to remove the handle when you're ready to paint
paint for the woodwork
any adornments you like/love!

Here is a picture of the window's before. All you need are old windows make sure you clean the glass with windex! The cleaner the surface the better.

My husband got in on putting the cut in tape on the woodwork. You can buy the cream colored cut in tape at your local hardware store.

I used a magazine to also protect from the chalkboard paint. It really wasn't necessary. The second window I did I just taped it off.
First coat of chalkboard paint. I let this dry overnight. The next afternoon I applied a 2nd coat, let it sit for 20 minutes and applied the final 3rd coat.

Waiting for the paint to dry...

Here is the chalkboard window before I painted it and applied the decor

I took the handle off to get a better paint application. When I painted the wood I applied 2 coats right away. I went for a brushed look. All you have to do is paint the sides top and bottom 2 times.

Then I used a glue gun to apply the flowers I purchased at Hancock fabric. You can use anything really :)

Here is a close up of the flowers I added and the little pendant. This was such an easy project! I hope you have fun trying it out as well :) feel free to email me if you're interested in purchasing one. I have 10 windows left and can customize them for you. epeterson177@gmail.com Or if you have any questions on how to do this yourself!
